Since 2006, PolymerOhio has worked with an Ohio company which has a new material for food packaging to assist them in growing their business. From a 186,000 square foot facility located in the midst of Ohioís Amish community, one company, specializing in injecting molding, has benefited from working with PolymerOhio for several years. This company, in business for almost 60 years, serves many markets which include banking and ATM, retail, agricultural, point-of-purchase, telecommunications and building and construction.
PolymerOhio provided strategy and planning consulting to this company. In addition, PolymerOhio networked these owners with several other PolymerOhio companies, who also provided consulting and assistance in several areas.
This company was introduced to the Ohio Department of Development, which eventually led to a loan of approximately $1.3M, enabling the purchase of a new piece of machinery. State funding of $40,000 accompanied this loan, and was used for travel associated with the project. Due to the overwhelming success realized by the purchase of the first piece of machinery, this company invested an additional $1.3M in a second.
Due to their work with PolymerOhio, this company realized a sales increase of $4,000,000 and a cost reduction of $200,000, with investments of $2.6M.
