Information: Marty retired as a Research Scientist in 2008 after 33 years of R&D work with The Dow Chemical Company. While at Dow, he developed many new products and improved process capabilities for the manufacture of thermoplastic foams, earning him 14 US Patents and the prestigious honor of an R&D 100 award as well as being named a Fellow of the SPE. Additionally, Marty developed expertise in the areas of expandable foams, process safety controls for handling flammable blowing agents, polyethylene and polystyrene film extrusion as well as multi-layered barrier films. Marty is currently President of Tusim Consulting, LLC, a consulting firm specializing on polymer processing and product development.
